The Berlin Wall 20 years later.

Monday November 9th, 2009 marked 20 years since the Berlin Wall fell and ultimately ended soviet communist rule in Europe. It has only been a little over 20 years, in many cases there is still a lot of tension in the air, however the fall of the Wall marked a pivotal moment in history. Now all over the world people are working diligently to rid the world of oppression and to build a world with out walls. These images were originally posted to mark the 20th anniversary of the dismantling of the Wall. However, parts of it are still standing to signify one of the greatest struggles of our lifetime and the move towards a better world. As it stands on the East Side Gallery, “No More Wars. Mo More Walls. A United World.”
